What is our training program?
The training program at Workability Alliance is an 8-week training program specifically designed for neurodivergent individuals aged 18+ seeking employment in the food service or retail industry. This innovative program is the perfect opportunity to gain the skills and experience needed while training inside an active, social environment.
Where are we located?
All training will take place inside The POST, located at 101 S Broadway Street in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Food Service
The POST features a revolutionary ice cream and coffee concept, Do It Yum, dedicated to inclusive workforce development. This innovative space provides trainees with comprehensive culinary experience, focusing on the fine details of presentation and decoration through dessert specialties like ice cream swirls, cakes, cookies, and tacos. Trainees will also build essential workplace skills through mastering artisan beverages like coffee delicacies, boba, and smoothies. This hands-on training approach integrates point-of-sale cash handling, professional customer service, rigorous food safety protocols, and daily custodial maintenance to fully prepare trainees for future success in this industry.
Retail
The POST also features a vibrant retail boutique, showcasing unique gifts and artisanal pieces from local makers and consignors. This retail space serves as an immersive training environment, allowing trainees to acquire professional customer service skills and point-of-sale cash handling. Trainees also gain valuable hands-on experience in visual merchandising, maintaining clean and organized displays, and managing inventory. By actively collaborating with local creators and managing consignor relationships, trainees build the foundational communication and organizational skills necessary for long-term career success.
